Ranks

Leader- The leader is the ruler of the clan. What the leader says is the law. You must always have utmost respect and loyalty for the leader. The leader has the duty of telling the head cats what to do.

Healer- The healer is probably the most important cat in the clowder. He or she takes care of all of the sick cats. There can be up to three healers, but there is usually only one healer.

Head _____- The head fierce, strong, or sleek is similar to the beta. They are all second in command to the leader. They are in charge of receiving the usually vague instructions from the leader and relaying them off to the cats in their district.

Fierces- The fierces are the fighters in the clowder. They are trained specifically for battle and nothing else.

Strongs- The strongs are the guards in the clowder. They are trained to be alert and quick to act.

Sleeks- The sleeks are the hunters in the clowder. They are trained to be quick and efficient in their work.

_____ Learners- The fierce, strong, and sleek learners are the cats that are 7 months or older. They learn how to fight, guard, or hunt. When they are 12 months at the youngest and 14 months at the latest, they are made full fierces, strongs, or sleeks.

Young Learners- The young learners are cats who are 6-7 months. In the course of the month, they try out all three of the districts and the leader decides which district they will join: fierce, strong, or sleek.

Mothers- Mothers are the caretakers of the kittens. They can be any age from any district, as long as they are not learners or kittens. They have the job of taking care of their kittens until the kittens are 6 months old, teaching them the ways of the clowder.

Kittens- Kittens are the youngest cats in the clowder. They have almost no responsibility, except they need to learn the ways of the clowder by the time they reach their 6th month, which is when they become a young learner.

Elders- Elders are the oldest cats in the clowder. They help the mothers to take care of the kittens, but only if they want to. They are highly respected.
